As the Social Media Marketing Assistant, you will support our social media strategy to drive acquisition, engagement, and conversion across social platforms. You will be responsible for day-to-day execution of social media operations and community management. You must have a strong ability to engage our audience, both visually and through written word. You are incredibly passionate about social media and have in-depth knowledge of best practices across all platforms. You must possess a strong grasp of copywriting specific to the social media space and exude our provocative and smart brand voice for engaging our audience. This is a part time position (roughly 20 hours per week). You will report to (RED)’s Social Media & Content Manager and will be based in our NY office.


  • Assist the Social Media Manager in executing our daily social media presence & larger digital strategy
  • Be responsible for day-to-day publishing and monitoring of social content across the following platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Youtube
  • Maintain the (RED) editorial calendar
  • Draft engaging social media copy using the editorial calendar that inspires our audience to take action
  • Create and resize basic social and email assets in Photoshop and/or InDesign
  • Manage one-on-one community engagement: respond to questions, reinforce positive comments, and remedy negative comments, engage with other’s content in our brand voice


  • Roughly one year of professional experience in social
  • Passion for social media and has extensive knowledge of the latest digital trends
  • Works at a fast pace without compromising attention to detail

  • Strong communicator with exceptional writing skills
  • Ability to multitask and work at a fast pace while managing multiple deadlines
