The Collaborative seeks a Projects Assistant to work closely with the Executive Director on grant initiatives. The Collaborative is a 501c3 organization based in Londonderry, Vermont with a mission to promote the development of a healthy, involved community supporting substance free youth.

Work Duties:

  • Implement aspects of the yearly work plan
  • Complete or assist with grant reports
  • Collect and track data and grant required paperwork for reporting
  • Attend meetings with grant funders, coalition partners, potential partners
  • Create publicity materials
  • Maintain relationships and communications with grant partners
  • Submit press releases and media campaign ads to newspapers and public access TV
  • Contribute to the management of social media sites
  • Manage organizational systems for the purpose of grant directives
  • Participate in information dissemination to members and sectors
  • Perform in administrative duties
  • Assist with event planning and facilitating

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Computer skills: proficient in use of word processing and spreadsheet software (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, etc); proficient in social media, experience with graphic design desired
  • Organizational and Leadership Skills
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain professional relationships
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing across a broad spectrum of audiences
  • Proficient in planning and organizing complex processes
  • Ability to perform complex tasks and to prioritize and multiple tasks
  • Self-starter and team player
  • Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner representing healthy lifestyles
  • Commitment to The Collaborative mission and success

Acceptable Experience and Training:

  • Education, experience or training equal to the required knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position
