Immediate opening for a Program Manager to join SEO College Scholars team.

SEO College Scholars currently supports over 540 students that are attending over 176 colleges across more than 26 States. We achieve this by providing boot-camp style workshops before students begin college, one- on-one support and academic advising throughout the year, as well as large-scale career exploration and networking events. http://www.seo-usa.org

  • MSW from Accredited University, (LMSW or have intention to get licensed in the next 6

months), must have completed administration track with focus on human service leadership, program design and administration or related concentration

  • Successfully completed basic foundational coursework on clinical approaches to social work administration
  • One year of graduate school field placement within either youth-focused or education-focused agency
  • Must have experience in working with middle/late adolescent age groups – high school and college students, both for students (program administration) and with them directly (direct clinical practice, in or out of school, with measurable outcomes and results)
  • Demonstrated passion for closing the achievement gap on the high school and college level for first generation and low income students
  • Extremely detail-oriented, solution-focused style of work, completing tasks with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to handle numerous large and small-scale projects that have multiple steps and varying deadlines
  • Keen eye for program development in a strategic and internally motivated manner
    • Responsive to feedback from peers and manager, give and receive feedback in a professional and mature manner
    • Self-starter who has a sense of humor, team-oriented, and willing to do what it takes to get the work done (whether it is their responsibility or not)
    • Will go above and beyond to ensure high quality program delivery and execution – from preparing mailings, to designing trainings and presenting at events
    • Exceptional written and spoken skills, quick learner to incorporate technology for student engagement, tracking and documenting
  • Must be creative both visually and in the approach to achieving individual and department goals

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal, academic and career support to case load of 65-70 students and any additional guidance and case management throughout college as needed
  • Document student progress, proactively identifying issues that may arise and bring to attention of manager for reparative action
  • Maintain and collect student data on an ongoing basis, making regular qualitative and quantitative assessments of individual and macro student progress
  • Design surveys to determine academic, personal and career needs, to devise targeted and relevant programming to meet student needs
  • Create, design, implement and evaluate trainings on a range of topics, track attendance, and measure program impact on student academic achievement and career-readiness
  • Provide career advising for cohort of students and conduct mock interviews, provide cover letter feedback as needed
  • Contribute to planning annual conferences for college students, as well as design and deliver a training during the conference
  • Contribute to and write student and department reports (for internal and external audience)
