Due to expanded programming, Agenda for Children is currently seeking early care and education professionals to fill several positions, all of which will be based out of our New Orleans office. Our staff work with families, teachers and leaders to help them improve their understanding of developmentally appropriate practice, enhance teacher-child interactions and improve teachers’ use of GOLD (an ongoing child assessment tool) and curriculum.


The School Based Pre-K Coach will provide intensive training and job-embedded professional development to school-based Pre-K programs. The focus of this position is to support both administrators and classroom teachers in improving the quality of instruction being provided to children in LA4 and NSECD classrooms through training and coaching on research-based, nationally recognized early childhood best practices. The Early Learning Coach/Trainer will provide practice-based coaching and personalized support for teachers who work with children between the ages of 0-4 years old in early learning centers; and will be responsible for conducting training workshops for early childhood leaders and staff. The CDA Instructor/Coach will assist early learning center teachers in meeting the educational requirements needed to attain the Child Development Associate’s Credential through direct instruction, by providing aligned technical assistance visits and coaching, coordinating site visits and guest lectures, facilitating communities of practice, observing, and implementing applied practice activities. The Preschool Expansion Grant (PEG) coach will work closely with early learning centers that are part of the PEG program, which pairs high-quality Type III early learning centers with New Orleans public schools to offer free prekindergarten to four year-olds. In addition to supporting the PEG 4 year-old classroom, the coach will work with the center director and other center staff to improve program quality throughout the center. Job Code R204


The Consumer Education & Referral Outreach Specialist will provide quality child care information and referral services that enable families to make informed child care decisions; support early care and education programs in their quests to create and maintain quality early learning environments; promote Quality Start and the School Readiness Tax Credits; and work collaboratively with the local community networks within the service region to broaden awareness of coordinated enrollment processes and the importance of quality early care and education.
