Job Summary:
This position is located in Region 6, on the Gold Beach Ranger District of the Rogue-River Siskiyou National Forest in Gold Beach, Oregon. The incumbent serves as a Forestry Technician in Recreation and will be responsible for performing a variety of duties in support of the units river management program in the areas of fisheries, recreation, wildlife, trails and special uses. This is a permanent seasonal position with a guaranteed tour of duty of 18 pay periods of full-time employment per calendar year and non-pay / non-duty status for the remainder of the year. You may be in pay status for additional pay period(s) provided you and the Forest Service are in mutual agreement regarding the number of additional pay periods for the season.
