MCCA has an immediate opening for a Preschool Teacher (Long-term Substitute) position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Planning and implementing a creative, child-centered preschool program using the Creative Curriculum® and MCCA operating procedures and standards.
  • Using classroom observations and building child portfolios to communicate key development milestones to parents.
  • Using developmentally appropriate approaches to behavior management, including encouraging and guiding children to positively express their feelings.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • 90 Hour Preschool Certification.
  • 9 Hour Communication.
  • ADA (Americans with Disability Act) Training.
  • CDA (Child Development Associate), ages 3-5.
  • Possess an AA or BA from an accredited college or university in early childhood education or related field with a minimum 15 credit hours in early childhood education.
  • Requires exprerience working with young children with mental or physical disabilities.
  • Minimum of one year of experience teaching children in a licensed child care center or preschool, ages 3 – 4.


  • Duration: November 11, 2016 – January 30, 2017 (with continued employment at MCCA)
  • Monday-Friday
  • 7:30am – 3:30pm
