Jordan: Receptionists

We are looking for **two* highly qualified* Receptionists will be responsible for managing the general office space, welcoming people to the office, checking to make sure all arrivals have an appointment time, answering the main office phone line and directing families within the office in karak or Maan*.*

Who are we?

DRC is an international non-governmental organization, which promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced people all over the world. With the vision that no displaced person must be in want of help to find protection and durable solutions, DRC provides assistance and protection to conflict-affected in many of the major conflicts in Asia, Africa and Middle East. The assistance can consist of relief and other humanitarian aid, rehabilitation and support to returning home, and the promotion of durable solutions.

About the job

Receptionist should be a strong communicator with past experience managing a small-mid size office and demonstrated experience working with vulnerable families and/or individuals. He/she should maintain a friendly and professional demeanour to ensure refugees feel comfortable and safe in the office environment. Past experience working with vulnerable children and youth considered a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Replay to all incoming calls (internal or external) from beneficiaries and employees in professional.

· Document all beneficiaries’ incoming calls and document all inquiries and problems .

· Register all visitors names and their data using DRC special computerized system.

· Welcoming all visitors, beneficiaries or employees in a tactful way.

· Encure to provide a perfect service to all beneficiaries.

· Keep the reception organized and clean .

· Other responsibilities as needed .

About you

To be successful in this role you must have:

Required qualifications:

a. Jordanian national;

b. Bachelor degree in community service or any related field

c. Arabic and English.

d. Basic ability to work with computer and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.)

Required experience:

Experience in secretary and public relationship.

We offer

DRC will offer the successful applicant a three mounths contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work as soon as possible and be willing and able to work in Ma’an or Karak -Jordan.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for Nationals; please refer to under Vacancies. This position will be placed at Grade C.
