We strengthen (network) organisations and individuals from public, private and non-state sector to get better in achieving meaningful societal change. This involves the delivery of training, advisory and facilitation servciees in the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) of projects, programmes and policies.

To strengthen our Evaluation team of consultants/trainers, we are currently looking for

A dynamic junior evaluator and research assistant (80-100%)

Duration: initially for 1 year with the possibility of extension into a permanent contract.

The preferred candidate is interested in many different aspects of the trainer/consultant work in an international environment and brings along strong language skills and, preferably, sound (applied) research knowledge.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Assist in acquiring larger M&E related assignments;
  • Contribute to further development of MDF’s products and services, including on-line learning modules;
  • Manage smaller service contracts and contribute to bigger ones;
  • Assist a team of evaluators in carrying out larger programme evaluation (using different data collection methods);
  • Other tasks coming up, since the trainer/consultant environment is dynamic and often not very predictable.

We are looking for:

  • Academic background, relevant for the international environment MDF is working in;
  • Strong-writing skills in English (writing skills in French and/or Spanish would be an important advantage);
  • Good knowledge of evaluation methodologies at outcome and social impact level would be a distinctive asset.
  • Ability and willingness to work abroad in short assignments (generally one-two weeks).

But above all, you are eager to start, learn fast and contribute to the different aspects of the MDF work.
