Role overview

Leading and developing a high performing finance and operations team to deliver high quality finance and operations support services to enable VSO to achieve its programme strategic objectives.

Reporting directly to the Country Director, you will play a key role in the VSO Senior Management team and working closely with others to deliver quality financial management and planning, and delivering the operational services required of the programmes.

  • Lead in all financial matters in the VSO office including analysing and supporting decision making on risks
  • Provide support on the grant management process, donor reports, and internal management reports for programmes and the country operations as a whole and work with the programmes team closely to develop proposal bids for external funding
  • Lead the operations management to create an effective functioning office with good work environment that fits for purpose for all employees and volunteers. This includes overseeing admin, logistics, facilities, IT, security, health and safety management.

Put simply, this is a hugely important role and your leadership and technical expertise will be critical to our success in bringing people together to fight against poverty and make a real difference to the lives of people in PNG
