Job Description:
Violence Intervention Program-CMHC (VIP) treats the effects of all types of abuse while also emphasizing community-based prevention to end the cycle of family violence. The VIP is world renowned for its programs which together provide medical, forensic, mental health and social services for all victims of violence.
Purpose of the position:
The role of the Clinician in the Birth to Five program is to provide clinical services to children and their caregivers. The goal in Birth to Five is not merely the short term immediate changes in behavior, but rather the long term patterns that will positively affect the family throughout a child’s upbringing; often times resulting in the caregiver identifying their own symptoms of trauma, anxiety and/or depression. Essential Functions:
•Performs intake assessments
•Formulates Client Treatment Plans
•Provides Individual, family, group, and/or collateral therapy
•Monitors and maintains documentation of client services, ensuring compliance with Agency policies and procedures, DMH contract and other related agencies standards and guidelines

Skills:
Registered with the BBS as an MFTI or an ASW; unlicensed Ph.D./PsyD.Eligible for DMH waiver. Must be fluent in English and Spanish. Strong clinical and communication skills. Able to collaborate effectively and professionally with all community partners, children,caregivers,supervisor and co-workers. Strong computer skills,Microsoft Outlook,ExceAbility to provide field based work.l, Word and web-based Electronic Health Record.
