Canada: International Projects Officer

The primary focus of this position is working on international development projects implemented by College of the Rockies in collaboration with local partners, particularly in East Africa and Latin America. Core functions include financial management, project management, project monitoring and reporting, the identification and deployment of College employees and students in international projects, and partner relations. In addition, responsibilities could include proposal writing, contract development, and supporting education abroad opportunities. Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Development or a related field with three or more years of related work experience including at least six months of international employment experience preferably in a developing country. The successful applicant will also have proven experience writing successful funding proposals and coordinating projects, an entrepreneurial approach to training and education, strong interpersonal, communication and excellent financial skills including budgeting. The position requires extensive intercultural-cultural experience, a resilient and flexible mindset, and an ability to work in challenging overseas environments.
