How can you make a difference?

The Senior Finance Assistant will support the Regional Team and its manager in the delivery of quality and efficient Invoice Processing services. This is a senior responsible team position that significantly impacts the performance and capacity of the team and contributes to both its working infrastructure, environment and agility.

This will involve:

•Provide subject matter expertise/coaching to team members and clients on processes, policies, and tools. •Develop team skills and infrastructure, through developing and leaving knowledge sharing activities, training opportunities and staff development.•Promote team work and commitment within a productive and efficient environment•Support the processing of transactions at an Approver level, ensuring compliance with SOP’s, Internal Controls and close attention to the risk or fraud or financial loss.•Support a strong Customer Service approach, manage escalated client inquiries and issues to successful mutual conclusion. •Lead changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.•Integrate closely with other Regions and Streams to achieve joint objectives.•Support Regional Manager with supervision of the team.

As an advocate for every child, you will have…

•A minimum of seven years of relevant and similar work experience in Finance (Service Centres, Audit, Consultancy) are required. A completed first university degree from an accredited institution will be counted toward the minimum work experience requirements.•Professional Accounting Qualifications or a Masters level courses in finance, or accounting is desirable.•Experience in successful team leadership, customer relationships and knowledge sharing is required.•Experience in delivering successful business improvement initiatives, resulting in improved productivity, enhanced quality, improved customer satisfaction is required. •Knowledge Sharing or Subject Matter Expert Roles within an SSC is an advantage.•SSC Invoice Processing experience at a Team Lead level is an advantage.•Progressively responsible positions within a SSC is an advantage.•Working knowledge of ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.), Microsoft Suite of Products (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint) is required.•Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required.•Knowledge of an additional UN Language (Arabic, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, and French) is an asset.•Applicants must be nationals of EU countries or in possession of a valid work permit.
