Job Description

  • Hands on management of a small team of heavy duty mechanics
  • Maintaining all coastal forestry operation equipment including breakdown maintenance and field work when required
    • Working with log loaders, grapplers, bobcats, winches
  • In charge of purchasing and maintaining department, inventory levels and scheduling PMs
  • Liaising with brand manufacturers for specific repairs
  • Supervising a team of 4 mechanics including 2 apprentices

Job Requirements

  • Must be Red Seal Certified
  • Must have at least 10 years experience as an Industrial Heavy-Duty Mechanic
    • Exposure to Forestry industry would be considered an asset
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $ 100,000 – 120,000 per year
  • Paid overtime
  • 3 weeks of paid vacation
