S/he is responsible for the implementation of the grant awarded to Karam Foundation ensuring the successful implementation within scope, time and budget. The role requires strong management skills, positive stakeholder relations and impressive time management skills. S/he must be knowledgeable of US funded grant requirements and ensure proper reporting to management and donor partner.


Project Management

  • Manage the implementation of a grant awarded to Karam Foundation, in order to meet the project objectives within budget and within the allotted time frame and report promptly any operational concerns to line manager.

  • Provide strong leadership of the assigned project(s), working to ensure both short and long-term positive impacts and outcomes for the beneficiaries.

  • Work closely with external evaluator to ensure proper monitoring and evaluation of project.

  • Ensure proper and timely reporting to management and subsequently donor partner

Staff Management

  • Line-manage the Karam House mentors responsible for delivery of the virtual exchange curriculum

  • Facilitate regular meetings to assist information sharing between project staff.

  • Provide coaching and technical supervision to staff in order to develop ownership and full responsibility.

Financial Management

  • Manage the project budget ensure all expenses are according to budget and meet the donor standards with regard to financial documentation

  • Ensure timely financial reporting to donor per template required

Communication and Reporting

  • Develop and maintain appropriate, regular, transparent and supportive communication structures with staff, management and partner.

  • Ensure timely and quality progress narrative reports to donor


  • Support the logistics activities of project staff, particularly in purchasing required materials per donor guidelines.

Quality Management

  • Ensure health projects are implemented in line with donor proposals and requirements and in accordance with Medair, donor, country and international standards i.e. Sphere and CHS.

  • University degree or diploma

  • Strong working knowledge of English (spoken and written).


  • Experience with US funded projects, guidelines and protocols is necessary

  • At least 2 years’ management experience in

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience working in humanitarian response context.

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office programs.

  • Willingness to support others and to share workload.

  • Aptitude for community mobilisation and capacity-building.

  • Capacity to work under pressure and manage personal stress levels.

  • Diplomatic, open-minded, self-learner, know how to delegate, able to take initiatives.
