Scope of Work
1. Goal and Objective: Under the general supervision of the Chief of Communication and Partnerships and direct supervision of Partnership Specialist, the in-house F2F Campaign co-ordinator will support UNICEFâ€™s in-house Fundraising Campaign to deliver industry leading results by managing, monitoring and evaluating the performance of teams across South Africa. Additionally, and be responsible for recruiting, coaching, training, and developing Team Leaders and Fundraisers.
2. Provide details/reference to AWP areas covered:
Result 1 of Resource mobilization and leveraging. This covers aspects of the annual work plans where achieving donor acquisition and revenue generate through pledge fundraising.
3. Activities and Tasks: The specific tasks are:
To recruit, train and retain new fundraising staff, ensuring that SACO has a professional workforce representing us.
Monitoring cumulative, monthly and weekly performance of teams and individuals, identifying and acting on areas where improvement is needed.
Taking responsibility for progress: implementing any necessary action to protect net donor recruitment in the face of unforeseen events.
Exercising rigorous attention to cost effectiveness and taking action maximising ROI through initiatives including: staff retention; critical review of process and procedures; and monitoring of fundraiser performance by longer-term donor retention results.
Developing a Quality Assurance activity to ensure fundraising is high quality.
Providing leadership by setting high team standards. Ensuring the team leaders provide motivational and results focused management of team members.
To be in the field as much as possible ensuring the team is fulfilling target requirements and correct levels of motivation are being maintained through effective coaching and leadership skills.
To ensure that full and proper training is carried out for all face to face fundraisers
Providing regular feedback on how this activity has performed to the in South Africa.
To ensure the face to face database is accurate and updated weekly with regards to fundraiser hours and pledges.
To secure sites for face to face teams.
To ensure either using personal knowledge, peer advice, Google Earth or past results that an area is suitable for the face to face teams to work in.4. Work relationships: The consultancy involves working closely with the Partnership Specialist on a day to day basis and with the Chief of Communication and Partnerships, Finance Officer, Admin & Finance Specialist, and Communications Specialists on a regular basis.

Schedule of payment
Be responsible that all the fundraising teams represents UNICEF in a professional manner and assure the quality and credibility of their interactions at all times. Make sure that the fundraising team are trained properly and achieve their monthly targets and KPIs. Share a monthly report on progress and achievement of KPIs, target and all the key activities and tasks mentioned in the TOR.

Desired competencies, technical background and experience
Completion of secondary/vocational education with additional training in a relevant field. University degree in related field, i.e. Marketing, Communication, preferred
Three years of relevant experience in the F2F fundraising and F2F management at an agency or ideally from in-house operations.
Good organizational and communications (oral and written) skills.
Attention to detail.
Service-minded with a pleasant personality and good interpersonal skills.
Tact, discretion, self-starter and good judgment.
Ability to work under minimum supervision.
Ability to handle and complete multiple tasks within deadlines.
Good knowledge of computer application.
Team player and ability to work in a multi-cultural and international environment.
Focal point: Partnership Specialist, Communication and Partnerships
The contractor will work on computer(s) provided by the office.
Local travel and airport transfers (where applicable) will be covered in accordance with UNICEF’s rules and tariffs.
Flight costs will be covered at economy class rate as per UNICEF’s policies.
Any air tickets for travel, will be authorized by and paid for by UNICEF directly, and will be for the attendance of meetings and workshops (if contractor is from outside Cape Town)
The candidate selected will be governed by and subject to UNICEFs General Terms and Conditions for individual contracts.
As per UNICEF DFAM policy, payment is made against approved deliverables. No advance payment is allowed unless in exceptional circumstances against bank guarantee, subject to a maximum of 30 per cent of the total contract value in cases where advance purchases, for example for supplies or travel, may be necessary
