How can you make a difference?

Corporate Alliances Officer (Fundraising): Under the general guidance of the Representative, and in close collaboration with the Communication Officer and Deputy Representative, will be responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of a private sector fundraising strategy as well as responsible for the implementation of the individual donors’ strategy, with the objective to maximize income and brand visibility for UNICEF.

Summary of key functions/accountabilities:

Prepare the corporate fundraising strategies and plans to meet fundraising targets.

  • Prepare the corporate fundraising annual workplan and budget.
  • Search and analyze potential partners and initiatives to look after new corporate fundraising opportunities.
  • In charge of the implementation of the corporate fundraising plan

  • Implement the corporate fundraising plan according with established timing and objectives.
  • Analyze workplan implementation vis-a-vis corporate fundraising calendar and budget and propose the necessary corrective measures.
  • Monitor the implementation of motivational schemas for corporate allies’ employees working for corporate campaigns.
  • Prospect potential corporate partners.
  • Negotiate with new corporate agreements and renewals.
  • Support the administrative tasks and responsibilities

  • Preparation and follow up of corporate screenings and proposals to be sent to Geneva and Regional Office, preparation of cooperation agreements and letters of understanding with corporations.
  • Monitor and track all requests from companies or from UNICEF PFP, and elaborate new corporate fundraising proposals. Inform all stake-holders on regular base about the status and next steps of their requests.
  • Follows up on the administrative aspects of the different corporate agreements. Establishes/maintains a technical up-to-date documentation on agreement results, press coverage, use of logo and UNICEF image.
  • Follow up of the donation receipts process. Control the correct procedure’s implementation.
  • Implement an operational individual fundraising strategy and plans that meets the income targets

  • Development and implementation of the individual fundraising strategies and plans; individual donors’ annual workplan and budget.
  • Periodically monitoring corporate fundraising income and expenditure against the approved budget and workplan.
  • Support administrative work and processes supporting individual fundraising workplan implementation.
  • Establish frequent relationship management with key partner and suppliers, as part of individual fundraising strategies development and execution.
  • Propose innovative and cost effective marketing strategies and marketing content (design, components, and timing) of the different activities & campaigns and analyse the results of different individual fundraising actions vis-à-vis their strategies and objectives.

  • Periodic analysis of trends, profiles, donors’ behavior and attitudes. Propose innovations and improvements.
  • Test new channels, proposals and formats.
  • Collaboration with other areas and coordination of fundraising events

  • Coordinate the tasks related to the development and implementation of fundraising events.

  • Reach corporate fundraising goals to finance UNICEF Paraguay priorities
  • Advance the corporate engagement agenda will contribute with the fulfillment of child rights.
  • Individual fundraising strategy, Workplan and Budget agreed by all stakeholders, according to the organization guidelines and regulations.
  • Successful partnerships with companies and suppliers providing creative and cost efficient services and fundraising campaigns.
  • Promote UNICEF brand awareness and positioning increase UNICEF capacity to influence decision makers, opinion leaders and citizen in favor of CRC.
  • As an advocate for every child, you will have.

    Education:University Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Economics or equivalent. Specialization in Licensing Studies or Marketing an asset.

    Work Experience:One to two years of professional experience in fundraising, both national and International work experience for local or international organizations. Marketing experience and familiarity with new technologies and ways of communicating with large segments of society will be considered an asset.

    Language Proficiency:Fluency in Spanish and working knowledge of English are essential.

    This is a National Officer Temporary position, only nationals of Paraguay will be considered.
