Are you passionate about the role research and evidence plays in the humanitarian sector? Do you have extensive experience of promoting research outcomes to influence policy and practice? Are you a talented communicator who can facilitate a workshop in an engaging way or tell a compelling story about our research outputs? Are you good at building relationships with a diverse range of people?
We are looking for a highly experienced Research Impact Manager who is ready to apply their expertise and develop their skills further within a fast-paced and creative team.
Elrha is a leading actor in the humanitarian system focused on research and innovation. We work to improve outcomes for those affected by crises by ensuring that humanitarian practice is based on evidence of what works, and tools and techniques used are continually improved through innovation. We fund and support research and innovation projects around the world, working in partnership with humanitarian organisations, the international research community, the private sector and other actors engaged in research and innovation.
This post requires an individual looking for a challenging role, who is ready to take on this exciting and varied opportunity supporting a busy and ambitious team. You will lead partners we fund and support to develop strong research uptake plans, and directly influence key stakeholders. This role is essential to enable the uptake of evidence to inform humanitarian policy and practice. You will:
· Conduct workshops with our research partners, to develop strong research uptake plans
· Identify opportunities for creating synergies within and across thematic areas of research that will enhance the potential for impact
· Represent the programme and Elrha externally at conferences and events
· Support our research partners to develop and maintain strong partnerships; conduct effective partnership workshops at key stages of the programme cycle
To be successful you will need to have significant experience of influencing diverse stakeholder groups. You will have excellent communication and facilitation skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships. You will have a solid understanding of the principles of effective partnership management and stakeholder engagement. In addition, you will be a highly motivated self-starter who is familiar with the academic research sector.
